A Dash Of Leopard

Cardigan + Leopard vest – D&G, Pants – Zara, Sunglasses – Dior, Bag – Balenciaga, Shoes – YSL

Have you noticed that I’m always covering my (gigantic) legs a lot  with black pants or leggings. I’m just  thinking of trying different styles such as shorts or skirts in the next few entries since London is getting boiling again, 29 degrees in September, can you believe it? I do miss summer but definitely not the heat. How can i wear fur in this weather…

Never A Dull Moment

(images via Style.com)

Fashion lovers, have you ever seen a fashion show where the whole house ( including the like of Mario Testino, Carine Roitfeld had to stand for ‘safety’ reason for the entirely of the show? Today, Nicolas Ghesquière has conquered it all at his latest Spring Summer collection of Balenciaga.  Out they came, boxy-jacketed, hot pant (Balenciaga’s version of this season’s omnipresent jogging short) clad-visions of the future. The interplay of texture was key to the collection, interlocking strips of denim, woven twill, suede and silk creating multi-dimensional and colorblocked effects within individual garments themselves. Best show of Paris so far for me, still buzzing for Givenchy later this week . Stay in tuned !

Afterglow to Night.

For the ones not knowing yet, while my girl Nga was rocking LFW with her gorgeous outfits i spent a nice and calm weekend with my friends. Paris is seriously the most photogenic city i have ever been to. Ok Amsterdam and Paris haha. If you get the chance to, seriously, go there ! Now its getting colder and colder i dont look forward to city trips too much. Iam the most lazy person when its freezingly cold outside. But i know i wont be able to just not spend my money on travelling haha. I wonder what my next destination will be !
Iam still very busy with work and octoberfest is going on in Munich right now. When i get time to i  will show you pictures of my lovely traditional bavarian dress : D  cheers x Julia

Beads, Weaves, Parkas & Prints.

It was an incredible experience to attend the biggest, glossiest and most anticipated show at London Fashion Week which took place yesterday at Kensington Gardens, showcased the latest creations of Chrisopher Bailey. The Burberry trench coat came full skirted in canvas and leather with crochet-knit collars. The runway was full of colorful tea dresses and sexy pencil skirts which were fashioned from striped jacquard raffia and stretch cotton basket knit. My favorites were those delicious belt parkas which were oversized with pliated leather sleeves.

Music from the shows included :
I Put A Spell On You – Jeff Beck featuring Joss Stone
Everlasting Love – U2
My Sweet Lord – George Harrison
Taste The Rain – Kill it Kid

Little Taste Of London Fashion Week

Paul Costelloe was the first designer to show his Spring / Summer 2012 collection, 60s silhouettes, trapeze shapes, marshmallow colours and a dash of humbug stripes made up a collection that fused girlie, young shapes with grown-up fabrics and romantic details, with frills, pleats and texture all playing a huge part in the show.

Ambassadors Polly Delevigne, Erin O’Connor and Laura Bailey along with the Mayor Of London, Boris Johnson posed in the sunshine for a photocall for the opening of London Fashion Week .

Sometimes the best place to get inspiration for how to dress is seeing the trends in action; in other words street style!
The past three days have been incredibly hectic and exciting , it seems like the whole of London could feel the spirit of Fashion Week. Good news is i just received my photographer pass for the biggest show of the week tomorrow, can you guess what it is ?
Stay in tuned for more updates!

when the sun is going down. and the world turns orange.

pictures by thai pham in Hanoi
Thinking back how extremely hard it was for me to dress in Vietnam…. iam really glad to be back in Germany and that autumn is coming up haha. Vietnam was so extremely humid and hot, i never really felt like dressing or dolling up properly. I always was super lazy and jst put on whatever when i went out. Fortunately German autumn is pretty nice. I can pull off all the layers and dark colours again very soon !
I dont think i will be able to update any outfit posts until next week or so because iam so busy working. All i wear everyday are black pants, black shirt and boots, pretty plain and boring. BUT after next weekend iam free again and will have more time and will try to take my camera with me more often when i go out and force my friends to take pictures of me haha. Until then i will feed u guys with old pictures of mine : P
And how freaking orange were my hair in these pictures ?! Haha. Cheery everyone ! x Julia
