Spring Haze

wearing Zara blazer & pants, Christopher Kane tee, McQueen bracelet, Hermes Coller De Chien Bracelet, YSL Arty Ring & D&G boots!

Hello. hello ! Hope everyone is having a lovely week so far ! Yes. I know that im neglecting blog land again. I’m currently trekking through class-notes and to-do-lists for the next two months or so. So much to do, so little time. Today I’m wearing my fave rainbow teeshirt from Christopher Kane. I’m thinking whites and delicious pastels for the next post? with a PS1 ? ( it is not a video game for sure, unless you listen to too much Lana Del Rey). Stay in tuned,
With love,  N ❤

TOWN AND FIELD

When Herieth Paul opened the show with that tweed hat and a cute mustard bow belt , I could not describe my excitement to see the rest of the collection. The collection was absolutely fabulous and extremely practical in my opinion. It’s true British style, but Burberry have gone more playful and innovative this time round with little cute bows on most of the pieces,  bow detail belts, bow detail shoulder epaulettes, bow detail everything!  I am so in love of the motif tees under the exquisite Burberry print and super stylish fabrics.  It’s so unlike Burberry but it really really works! I remember spotting the sweater with the gorgeous owl-printed on Kate Bosworth before the show even started. I also spotted some burst of bright aqua and royal blue that gives the deep outfits a little kick.  The use of velvet in dark purple and the striped over knee skirts just show how amazingly varied the collection was. My ultimate favourite match was the brown jacket belted over a burgundy lace skirt with a substantial amount of peplum. The collection surely focused on a sophisticated city-style with a twist of town and field element with full of characters. However, i would love to see a more variety of footwear in the collection. Overall, i strongly think  that Burberry have stayed true to their heritage, but MY GOD , Christopher Bailey knows how to modernise and play with style, shape, fabrics and colors without losing Burberry’s traditional signature

Here are some shots of my favourite accesories from the runway. I absolutely adore the tweed flat-caps, the saddle bag, the studded gloves and the animal details zipped clutch bag !

all photos belong to toughlookdonturt.
Stay in tuned for more photos of the star studded front row from the show and some backstage impressions after the show ! With love, N ❤

Two Of A Kind

With Valentine’s Day arriving , i’ve been reflecting on my favorite fashion couples. Because when it comes to dressing, a pair of style aces is always better than one. Naturally, power duos like Brangelina or Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom made the cut. But my ultimate favourite are definitely model sweethearts Sheila Marquez and Christian Brylle. They look like they share a single closet and i think they are complimenting each other so beautifully. Who are your favourite fashion couples?
Happy Valentine’s Day to all our beautiful readers.
Keep loving, keep creating !

hometown glory

coat – Zara / boots – H&M / shirt – souvenir from Hong Kong / hat; jewellery – vintage; from Singapore

Its been a while since my last proper outfit post, hasnt it ? I figured out a way to create a brighter light in my room so i can actually take pictures in here even after sunset !
Iam absolutely in love with my new Zara coat, which Nga happens to own as well ( see here and here ) ! I have been wanting it ever since i saw it in stores the very first time, back then it was a good 150€ though, as far as i remember. I couldnt believe my luck when i actually found it in stores again just recently for only 40€ !!! So so so lucky ! Get it while u can girls ! There are a lot of awsome coats and jackets on sale right now (still, i hope, havnt been to town for a week). I bought three new coats during this seasons Zara sale ! Will show the other two ones soon ! (Don’t really get to wear them though as it is usually below -10 degrees here and its simply too cold to wear such light coats.)

menswear : Public School A/W 12

Ok kids, iam seriously very excited about introducing this New York based and created brand called Public School, which presented its A/W collection at New York Fashion Week yesterday. Having bought an ipod touch 4 a few days ago, one of the first apps i downloaded was instagram (find me as fubtch) ! I happen to follow Bryant/Eslava who happened to be at the presentation and uploaded a picture. First thing i did when i saw it was liking it. Then i posted a very short but to the point comment : “Hot!”. Ok, that was the so, so exciting story how i got to know about this brand. Anyway, i was so amazed by the impression Bryants picture gave me, once i got home i googled Public School immediatly and unfortunately there aren’t many pictures of the recent collection uploaded yet, but i found a reasonable number of information about the brand itself and interviews with the two designers, Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne. Iam not in the mood to write a summary so if you are interested, go through the links i provided below the pictures yourself.
I rather write something about the collection itself ! I don’t even know if we have many male readers who would be interested but im not in the position to care right now.
Basically, when i see the arrangement of the pieces and the whole collection my main thought is : ‘I wish i was a guy or at least an androgynous girl so i could pull the clothes off.’ I havn’t disliked one single piece of the collection so far and it meets my taste like 100%. Its cool, its urban, sophisticated, its somewhat neat and plain and i really really love that one leather jacket in the second picture ! Tough look don’t hurt, so can’t I please have it in my size ?
I will definitely keep an eye on this brand and the two guys behind it from now on and am looking forward to see more from them ! I might also eventually turn into a guy, buy the clothes and pleasure you with Public School outfit pictures soon ! You never know : ) !
If you loved the collection as much as i do, check out their tumblr (as the website is being updated), for behind-the-scenes instagram pictures : Public School !

Plaid And Fur

(wearing M&S shirt, Faux Fur Vintage Jacket, Zara black pants, Balenciaga Boots and Hermes Kelly Bag)

Black. Fur. Kelly I’m all set. I could seriously limit my entire wardrobe to just a few key pieces: Black jackets and coats of varying lengths (cropped to knee-length), architectural pumps and wedges, and black pants. Adding frills and details just oftentimes feels fussy, itchy and contrived. I guess my mind and my heart are black black black with a touch of neon. The next few weeks will be a real chaos for me with 2 x 2000 words coursework due, French oral exam and LFW. Stay in tuned ! With love, N!

Abstract Neon

(wearing Topshop black knit, Burberry Sport Gold Sleeveless Hoodie, Louis Vuitton Leggings, Balenciaga Boots and Alexander Wang Bag)

This is probably my funkiest outfit on this space so far. A totally korean wannabee, i must say. I’ve been a lazy dresser this week and this color combo of black,  shades of neon and graphics just came to mind as i raided my closet couple days ago. What do you think?
