All I Need Is A New York Minute

outfit 1: Alexander Wang top, vest and pants, Margiela for H&M boots, Chanel boy bag
outfit 2: Alexander Wang chiffron shirt, Pinko leather jacket,  Margiela for H&M boot + Clutch, Dior sunnies.

These photos were taken way back during NYFW ( trust me this is not it, you will soon be bombarded with more, promise) and i am confident to say that i am officially back on this space. Final year of uni is hell of a pain in the ass, non-stop coursework deadlines, master applications, internship interviews…and back to regular fitness habits which has been extremely difficult. So glad to see my girl Julia have been updated super regularly ( telling you i will never be able to compete with her on the frequency) but i will try my best to showcase myself at least once a week so please bear with me. On the other note, I have a 2 pages magazine featured coming up and can’t wait to share it with you guys. Have a productive week.

Keep creating, keep loving ❤ N

By now it is absolutely obvious: winter is coming. The yellow and orange (which is the colour I hate the most) leaves are covering the pavements, and in Berlin, they don’t seem to be bothered by it at all. In Munich, when the leaves start falling, there are plenty of people who work on emptying the pavements, but not so much here. Thus on my way to uni traipse around on lots and lots of wet yellow and orangeness. After another half a year of not studying, I have finally started going to uni again. Iam currently doing regional studies with my focus on China. It’s a lot of work, and I really don’t know how to do all the things I already do, and uni stuffs. But billions of others have gone through it before me, so I should be able to get through to my BA as well, right ? Can’t wait to stamp through snow every morning on the way to uni, freezing and sneezing. Because my vintage Dior coat isn’t going to keep me warm for sure.

Forever returning combo

Sweater, Loafers – Zara // Lace Top – from Italy // pants – Primark // earrings – Floralpunk

It’s not even been two months and my hair is a stupid orange in the sunlight again. You remember me having gotten my hair dyed professionally ? It was a waste of money. My hair is the same bloody orange, that I hate so much, again. I even called that blog entry No More Orange back then. It’s not that bad in selca photos and indoors, but once I step into the sun, the orange is clearly visible. And all I ever wanted was an ash tone. I will dye my hair again, even though they are so fucked already. I cannot be happy with this colour. I remember when I had super orange hair two years ago. I tried to bleach them and they turned out a vibrant orange. Back then I had long hair and was skinnier, so it looked kinda cool. Iam not that much into drawing attention to myself anymore these days though, so I really long for cool ash coloured hair. If the professional hairdresser can’t even help me, who can. I will never stop trying, but can’t deny that I feel a little desperate.

This outfit is a super casual one. Something I just put on to go to the supermarket with my boyfriend and his mom. I have worn this lace top, grey sweater combo for god knows how long. I never grow tired of it though.

Basic black boots, who doesn’t need them ? Get them here.

Back to uni blues inspired by Vivi magazine

Inspired by a page in the latest issue of Vivi magazine, I created this outfit moodboard. Everyone who has been following me for a while should know that Vivi, a Japanese magazine, has been my favourite for years. I always get so inspired by their beauty and fashion editorials, because the models are styled in effortlessly cool ways. Always. Make-up and hair tutorials that are realistic, and outfits for everyone and daily life.

Floralpunk Shooting: At Home with Yung

I visited Nhung for a Floralpunk shooting today. I asked her to be in my video for Floralpunk, because I simply love the way she looks. Do you know that feeling, when sometimes you simply like a person’s appearance without being able to say whether that person is pretty or not ? That’s what I had with Nhung. The first time I saw her, I already knew I was going to do something with her.
So I planned a little image filming at hers, and took the chance to take photos of her super cool room as well. All greyscales, I know a lot of you girls out there love that. A wardrobe with basically just black and white ! Everyone who is envious of her cool room now, I’d advise you to change yours ! It really doesn’t take that much, to just throw out your old shit, and get some new stuff at Ikea. It’s all up to you ! If you are unhappy with your room, do something about it. Because you spend so much time in it, you are supposed to love it. Little changes can make a very great impact !

As for Nhung, she usually doesn’t even wear earrings. Her hair cover her ears most of the time, so she didn’t even accept the earrings as payment for doing the shoot with me. Check out her instagram, if you want to follow her, and find her as pretty as me: Yungicorn. As for the Floralpunk video, I will try to get it done by next week, so stay tuned !

Blogger Bazaar München at the Stylight HQ

My stall.

Sold some of my Floralpunk products at special prices.

Whoever you were girl, you were definitely the coolest one I saw all day !  Have fun with your fur bag !

The Glamloop stall had to be avoided by me, because I saw that Thu Thu jacket, that I really wanted a few months ago.

Nina from En Vogue Coop

I don’t mind anyone using these photos, just credit me please.

One’s trash is another’s treasure. As I had announced on Instagram and Facebook, I took part in the first Blogger Bazaar in Munich last Saturday, October 19th, and it exceeded my expectations by far. The location, Stylight headquarter, was just perfect for the occasion. A big room with windows at the ceiling, which allowed a lot of natural light from the sunny day to come in and tables with clothing racks for each seller. I had a smaller spot in a corner, and was already concerned about how I was going to place all my items, since I had brought all items from my closet, that I didn’t wear anymore. It was a lot. Fortunately my neighbor, Mauricius (whoever you are, thank you!), didn’t come, so I got his table as well. With enough space for all my items, price tags provided by the Blogger Bazaar team and drinks from Red Bull and Jules Mumm, I couldn’t wait for the crowd to come in ! It was all about moneymaking and getting rid of the clothes that have been hanging around in my closet for years. Accessories and shoes I havn’t worn for a very long time, or never worn before. In the end I was able to sell 70% of the things I had brought at very very low prices. I still managed to make 700 something somehow even though I sold earrings and rings at 1€ and most of my clothes at 4-15€. You see, I had a lot of stuff to sell. Stuff of which I didn’t think that I’d be able to sell it. There is still some left, and I hope I can participate in the next blogger flea market again.

It’s a great opportunity for bloggers, to get to sell their clothes to a more fashion oriented crowd at blogger flea markets. Unlike a normal flea market, at a blogger flea market, the expected audience comes for the purpose of buying clothes. It is an a lot more categorized kind of flea market, than casual flea markets, where you can find anything from spoons to old CDs. So at a normal flea market you will find all kinds of people, from the ones looking for spoons to the ones looking for old CDs, as well. With a lot of clothes and accessories, you might not find the customers you want to attract.

I had a great time, and Iam so glad I didn’t go by myself. My cousin offered me to come with me and to help me. Without her I probably wouldn’t even have been able to go to the restrooms because it was so crowded ! From the opening to closing time. Some of my friends had to queue for two hours ! Which was just half as bad, because it was a sunny autumn day, and because they got drinks for free. The organizers of the event did a great job though, by keeping the people in a good mood, and making sure that it was never overcrowded inside.

Some PR people came up to me and exchanged business cards with me, and I really hope it will lead to more. Iam not a very well known blogger in Germany yet, but I wouldn’t mind getting there. I felt a little intimidated by the other bloggers at first, because I have been reading their blogs, but everyone was really nice. I met Fan-Ning from MUCstyle again, who I met at my last blogger event more than a year ago. She said that I look like I had lost weight, best compliment ever! Since I have lost weight. And I had Vicky from The Golden Bun right across my table, and Masha Segwick was right next to her. I couldn’t not look at them haha. It was all, very exciting, and very fun.
Thank you so much Blogger Bazaar team for this experience. After such an successful event, there must be a followup ! So everyone, go to the Facebook page of Blogger Bazaar, like it, and stay tuned for the next events !

Bad shopping habits and perfect skinny jeans

dress – & other stories / earrings – Floralpunk / blazer; pants – Zara / shoes – Vans

After years and years of caring about what I look like, there is still no real constant in the way I dress and do my make-up except for black and eyeliner. I just came back from the blogger bazaar today selling so many things that I have bought recently. Iam so fickle when it comes to clothes. I buy them, and rarely ever keep them, or wear them over a long period of time. And the reason is: Iam an occasion shopper ! I usually don’t go shopping very much. I rarely ever feel the urge to update my closet, mostly because iam too broke, or because in my daily life I don’t need new clothes. So when do I go shopping ? Either when there is cash flow, but usually when there is an occasion ! For example, I walk around with ripped tights all year round. And then suddenly there is an event, and only then do I feel the urge to buy new tights. Tights aren’t even a bad example, because you can always wear them, and they are a basic item in a wardrobe, unless they are red. But it’s not just tights, I shop everything like that. Oh, I’m go to London, and then I go shopping for London ! How ridiculous ! Iam going to a concert, oh let’s buy a new shirt for that concert. You get what I mean ? I only shop for occasions, and I like the things I buy for those occasions, but I often end up never wearing those items again. Which is absolutely idiotic. I will try to be more selective when it comes to clothes that enter my wardrobe, in the future. My dream is it to have a wardrobe with pieces that I really really love to wear only. That’s why I sorted out just almost everything for the blogger bazaar yesterday, and only have like 15 tops and 15 outerwear pieces left. I will build up the wardrobe that suits me best, from the age of 21 on. I hope I won’t have to sell everything all over again in five years. Because I still havn’t quite figured out what suits me best, and what type of clothes I love the most. And what type of clothes I love, suit me best.

There is one pair of pants, that always suit me well though. Which I love, no matter when. Have you been looking for your perfect pair of black skinny jeans ? I found mine at Zara. Because I have small calves, compared to my thighs, pants often tend to be too wide around my calves. They often aren’t skinny enough. I have never found a good fitting H&M jeans before. I felt hopeless, until I met these Zara jeans. Perfect fit. Skinny jeans. Tight around my calves. And just forty bucks.
In these photos I paired them with my new & other stories shirt/dress. I was actually not going to wear the pants underneath the dress, but Berlin simply is too freaking cold these days. I’d still appreciate recommendations for winter jackets btw.

Post about the blogger bazaar will be up by Monday latest, so stay tuned ! It was so much fun ! I sold so so many things. Things I thought I’d never get rid off. With that money I could buy a fancy and posh winter jacket now. Thanks everyone who came and bought from me (and didn’t try to bargain with me haha) !

FURRY FUR

Coat – Monki / pants; loafers – Zara / leather vest; accessories – Floralpunk / Striped Shirt – H&M

It’s only October, but iam already freezing in my fur coat, which kept me warm during winter the last two years. Either it’s because I have been sick the past two weeks, or because I feel the cold even more easily now, because Iam getting older (ha ha). I really don’t know how Iam supposed the harsh icy winter Berlin without a proper jacket and boots to keep me warm. My only mission when shopping these days is to find clothes to keep me warm. Which is really hard, because they are supposed to look good as well. If I didn’t care so much about looks, I’d just wear my purple Roxy snowboard jacket. And UGG boots. Nothing against UGG boots, but I don’t like them on my feet. I don’t like how they feel. So soft and odd. Like marshmallows. Anyone, if you have a great recommendation for me, whether it is jacket or boots, please share with me ! Iam so desperate to get through this winter as good as possible. I want to freeze and feel cold as little as possible. Because I really really hate feeling cold. Iam not made for German Winters man. So if you know a cool jacket that actually keeps you warm, tell me about it ! (Not Woolrich though.)

There is also an OOTD video existing for this outfit. I made my boyfriend film a little, after having seen Nisi’s ootd video. I love how everything teetharejade do is done so nicely ! I really had high expectations of myself and my boyfriend for my first OOTD video, but we failed. The lightning and setting was really bad, it was getting dark outside already, so my video was a tad too dark as well. I tried to make it lighter and lost quality instead. Iam really disappointed, but will post it anyway. I will definitely do better next time ! (And will never shoot under bad light circumstances again!)
If you watch it, please watch it in HD ! At least 720p ! To see the video, click here.

& other stories: "Applebloom Pink" Total Tint Stick Review

Buy it here

On my stroll through Berlin’s Mitte, it was impossible to avoid the recently opened & other stories in Neue Schönhauser Allee. The second & other stories store in our capital, and surely not the last one, is just as well designed as the first one, and all other ones out there. They do it so well. Making their goods appeal to me in every way possible. I simply couldn’t walk out of that store without buying anything. Even though I didn’t want to buy anything ! I ended up going home with a small tube of hand creme, eye cream and this tint stick. I didn’t need any of them, but somehow ended up buying them, because i simply couldn’t not buy anything ! I love the packaging of & other stories beauty products so much, so I didn’t even try to resist.

I love the idea behind this tint stick. It’s an all-rounder. You can use it for your cheeks, your lips and your eyes. Applebloom Pink is a very pale pink with a little bit of glitter, that highlights and gives your skin a pretty glow. There are also other colours available, which are more vibrant, but I didn’t think they’d suit me, so I got this one. Iam not a beauty or make-up geek, so I love the fact that I can walk around with this one stick and use it in different ways. It’s so useful when Iam late for uni, and just look very dull, but don’t have the time to do my eye make-up. I apply it on my eyelids, cheeks and I look much rosier instantly. The shit thing about it is, that it doesn’t seem to last very long though. Because when I get home from uni, I feel like the pinkness is gone, and there’s only glitter left. I really wish the tinting bit was more long-lasting. Because there’s no point in using it, if it doesn’t even stick around for a few hours. I never wear any make-up, so I don’t know how long it lasts with foundation and stuff on. Or maybe I just have to apply more and more layers. Do any of you guys know similar products that I can try ? Recommend them to me, and I will make a review video ! I really want to make more beauty videos, even though I don’t know much about make-up. Iam eager to learn though, so you can follow me as i make progress. As for this product, I will continue using it on my without make-up days, but I doubt I will buy it again.
